The former head gardener at Airfield Gardens, Dundrum, Jimi Blake has now opened his own garden. Hidden in the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains, near Blessington, the garden is a plantsperson's paradise with contemporary borders, creating a fusion of prairie and tropical planting in a natural setting. The garden offers something for everyone from lazy woodland walks through the ancient glacial valley and through the remains of a 7th century ring fort where an extensive range of woodland plants are grown - many collected on various trips around the world. The garden is experimental, exciting and constantly changing. The garden has featured in many magazines, including: The English Garden, Gardens Illustrated, Gardeners World Magazine and Country Life.
